Artist’s Drive Palette
Artist’s Drive is an 8 mile one-way, nine-mile paved loop. It feels like it was painted by somebody but the truth is the hills painted by the Earth’s natural calcium, copper, manganese, and carbonate. You can view this scene easily on route via the scenic loop. This is a worthwhile side trip!
Zabriskie Point
The most famous viewpoint in Death Valley. It is an easy walk up the hill from the parking area to see spectacular badlands. The colors are beautiful and make you feel in peace!
Devils Golf Course
Devils Golf Course is a flat expanse of sharp salt crystals. An huge expanse of rock salt eroded into jagged spires. If you listen carefully, you may hear the sound of millions of tiny salt crystals exploding as they expand. What a great experience!
