I had discovered a couple of years ago Sur La Table’s cooking class and every year I try to sign up for some classes! I learn so much about cooking tips and culinary products. On the other hand; socializing is here so much fun!
This time I signed up for a cooking class with my friend. The menu consisted of:
- Grilled Cedar Planked Salmon with Lemon-Dill Butter
- Whipped Potatoes with Cheddar and Chives
- Tomatoes and Arugula Salad with Lemon-Parmesan Dressing
- Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee
Before we start, we socialized and ate some snack which Sur La Table offered! Then we got down to cook. There were two tables. Every station had six people. We had own knife, chopping board, and small bowls. Also, every station had an induction cooktop. Everyone had a task and the chef always walked us through each step. She always offered some tips.
The cooking took around 80 minutes then we took a break in 10 minutes. Meanwhile, the chef’s helpers cleaned the stations and set up the plates for meals. We came back in to dine at our stations. We enjoyed the delicious meal we had made!
While we were eating, every person tried to burn the sugar on top of Creme Brulee with a Torch. It was a new experience for me.
All in all, we had enjoyed 2 1/2 hours… I’d love to do it again!
